Honor Ken Cote: Support His Legacy
Donation protected
On October 10, 2024 we lost an incredible man. Ken Cote passed away after a 14 year battle with multiple myeloma. Ken was told he may have three to five years to live, but God had other plans for him. Ken was extremely grateful to all of the Doctors and nurses who helped save his life multiple times over the 14 year span of which he fought; they called him the "poster child of cancer". To know Ken was to love him; the mutual caring and respect was not limited to the healthcare professionals at Maine Health and the specialists at Dana Farber; Ken and his legacy have had a lasting impact on so many more.
He is missed every second of the day by his loving wife and family. His contribution to human kind reached far and wide, as the family continues to hear wonderful stories of how Ken has impacted the lives of those around him. It's no secret that Ken had a huge presence in the community, helping anyone who he came across; he had a safe and calming presence. Ken spent many years crafting lasting, impactful relationships in business, and in the sober community; he was a bright light and a source of stability to those around him.
Many people have asked what can be done to help during this devastating time. This fundraiser has been created in order to honor Ken and his legacy, and help support the family with end of life expenses. There will be a beautiful service and bike ride happening this spring, Ken's wife would like to get Ken the headstone he deserves.
As a Godly and humble man, Ken would never want someone to suffer in order to contribute monetarily, so any amount is welcome and appreciated. For those who cannot donate, please consider helping someone in need; essentially paying it forward and doing a selfless act in Ken's honor. Ken Cote was all about helping others; a true man of morality and integrity. His legacy will live on; thank you for your support.
