Help Kenadi in her fight with cancer!

My beautiful niece, Kenadi, is facing a challenge no 22-year-old should ever have to. About a year ago, Kenadi began having neck pain. For the next 12 months, she was tried on different medications, physical therapy, chiropractic adjustments, massage, etc., all to no relief. She began asking early on for imaging, but her doctor repeatedly told her she didn't need it. Finally, in late June, another doctor ordered an MRI, where they discovered a tumor growing on Kenadi's spinal cord. An immediate surgery was scheduled to do a surgical biopsy of the tumor, which was done July 15. Two days later, a second surgery had to be performed due to a blood clot that formed after the biopsy and also to remove as much of the tumor from the back side of the neck and spinal cord as they could. They also needed to removed her C2-C5 vertebrae, as they were affected by the tumor. The pathology came back and it was the worst possible news, cancer. It's a very rare form of cancer called chordoma. Then a week later, July 26, Kenadi underwent yet another surgery, this time going through the front of her neck, to remove as much of the remaining tumor as possible. A cage was put in and fusion surgery was done. At this point, the only treatment option is radiation, but Kenadi's body needs to heal from all the trauma that 3 surgeries in 2 weeks has caused. She will soon be moved to the rehab unit as she fights to recover. Once she is ready for radiation, she will need to undergo 7 weeks of treatment. All of this has already taken a huge financial toll on Kenadi and her family. She is unable to work currently with no projected date of when or if she will ever be able to return. She is currently at the University of Washington Medical Center Montlake and will need to be there for an indefinite amount of time. Please consider helping this amazing young lady. Anyone that knows Kenadi knows that she is an exceptional mother to her 1-year-old son Silas, a loving sister, a beloved daughter, niece, cousin, and friend. Please consider helping to ease the financial burden on Kenadi and her family, so she can focus on what's most important, her health and recovery.
