Help Kennesaw Barbell Go To nationals

We are Kennesaw Barbell, a collegiate lifting club at Kennesaw State University that desires to lower the barrier to entry for lifting and create a community of lifters at our school.

This coming semester, our club has big aspirations, but along with that, many expenses. Around 20-30 of our lifters are qualified to compete at the USAPL (United States Powerlifting) Collegiate Nationals in Atlanta Georgia, and we need your help to send our athletes there!

The USAPL is our governing body, where many of our athletes compete in Powerlifting. Powerlifting is a sport where the lifter has three attempts to lift their heaviest Squat, Bench, and Deadlift in a single day. Collegiate Nationals is an opportunity for our lifters to prove their strength against all other colleges in our Nation. This will be our first year qualifying and a chance for us to make a name for ourselves as a club.

This past October, we had our first KSU Owl Lift Off, a powerlifting meet at the school to introduce our team to the sport and encourage lifters to join our club. This was a huge success for the team, and we were excited to hold our own meet.

The Owl Lift-Off was initiated to prepare lifters on our team for the Georgia State Championship Meet. This is another opportunity for anyone on our team to compete with all collegiate and non-collegiete lifters in our state. We plan to bring somewhere between 20-30 lifters and continue asking for help to send our club to the State Meet.
