Help Kenny Finish School!
We (Kenny's Teachers/Mentors) have created this GoFundMe on his behalf to support him in finishing his education. To say that Kenny is a very special student to us is an understatement. Kenny is one of the hardest working students, one who is committed to his campus community, not to mention gifted in many ways. Kenny is trying hard to make it on his own as a college student and unfortunately he has been falling short financially and needs support to get through. By giving any small amount you may have to help him pay his tuition would mean literally everything to him and would help lessen the burden of trying to get by.

Hello Everyone,
My name is Kenny, I am an International Student studying Computer Science at Santa Barbara City College. After a year of studying in the United States, my family suffered extreme setbacks financially because of the worsening economic situation in my country and I have been working very hard to support myself in paying rent, buying food and books etc . However, paying tuition has been almost impossible even though I have tried to work as many hours as I can at my current job. This is why I am asking for your help. If I do not pay my tuition and fees by May, I will not be able to register in time for the coming semester. I humbly ask for your support to help me continue my education.
Having just one year before graduating, I am asking that you help support my dream of transferring to a 4-year college and earning a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. My dream is to become a software engineer and create products that help protect users from credit card fraud, scams, and malware.
Without your help, my dreams of pursuing my education and becoming a software engineer could die. Without your donation, I will be, soon enough, with no home, no education, and no hope for a better future.
I hesitated many times to create this fundraiser because I was embarrassed of my situation. I was afraid to be judged or looked down upon because I have no money to pursue my education and live a normal life. But I realized that in the big picture I cannot let this be the reason that holds me back from achieving my dreams and contributing to society at a higher level. Your help would help change my life for the better and would contribute to a generation of educated and ambitious individuals. Please help if you can.

My Extra Curricular Activities and Awards
Student Trustee - I sit on the Board of Trustees at my school where I have spoken passionately about what affects the student population. I’ve addressed issues such as equity, food insecurity and housing insecurity.
Most Outstanding International Student - I was nominated as the Most Outstanding International Student by the International Office in Spring 2019.
President’s Honor Roll - Spring 2019
Partners in Education - I volunteer with Partners in Education to hold mock Interviews for Students at various High Schools in Santa Barbara to prepare students for the Job Market.
