Help Kerene get to Wildwood Lifestyle Center

My name is Kerene Gurley. I love the Lord and desire to get to know him better and have a clear understanding of His character. I am a mother of two young-adult children, a wife, sister, daughter, and a Certified Gospel Medical Missionary with over thirty years of health care experience as a Registered Nurse.

I have spent most of my adult life serving as a pediatric nurse in different facilities and over the past ten years working with an insurance company as a Utilization Review Nurse with a focus on prior authorization for diagnostic services and inpatient and concurrent hospitalization along with long-term care and rehabilitation.

Unfortunately, over the past four years, I began having very unusual physical symptoms which included multiple falls, weakness of lower extremities and extreme back pain with episodic spasms. Despite multiple medical and diagnostic testing, visits to multiple specialists and implementing multiple protocols, my symptoms continue to progress. All the medical therapies attempted appear ineffective. Since then, I have had multiple emergency room visits due to these significant spasms that cause my muscles to contract violently lasting several minutes at times, which appear to astound me.

My Neurologist has diagnosed me with a rare autoimmune neuromuscular disorder after antibody testing. His evaluation indicates that there is very little research on this disorder and the treatment options are long term but limited and not guaranteed to provide a cure or effective relief.

This is very discouraging, since I feel that one should be able to balance the immune system in such a way that can bring it back to proper functioning. I desire to navigate this route as it embodies my philosophy that food can be our medicine and lifestyle can change the trajectory of many chronic issues. My diet for over 25 years has been that of a vegan and I have tried on my own and with the help of others, to improve any areas of my life that may be the true cause of my illness. I have been trying to raise the funds on my own but because of my physical limitations, I feel that I cannot fully do all I need to do to give myself the opportunity to fight.

My desire is to go to Wildwood Lifestyle Center since they specialize in treating autoimmune illnesses. Unfortunately, due to the progression and uncertainty of my illness in 2023, I have not been able to work for over six months and when I returned the company downsized which led to my termination.

I am requesting financial assistance to assist me with all the fees associated with making this trip to Wildwood Lifestyle Center located at 435 Lifestyle Ln, Wildwood GA 30757. Please feel free to do your own research on this organizations program to satisfy whether this is a legitimate request. The cost is around $6,000 including flight and transportation to and from the airport.
