Help Keri Fight Severe Anemia

Hello all,

I'm reaching out to you today with a heavy heart but also with hope in my soul. My name is Keri, and for years, I've been battling severe anemia, a condition that has taken a toll on every aspect of my life.

My journey with anemia began during a period of extreme domestic abuse, where medical care was denied to me. Over the years, the physical and emotional scars from that time have compounded, making it increasingly difficult to maintain my health. Despite my best efforts, the financial burden of my medical treatments has become overwhelming.

Each iron transfusion costs $950, a sum that my husband and I simply cannot afford, especially with other bills piling up. Despite having insurance, coverage for these treatments has been denied until I've exhausted all other options, leaving me in a desperate situation.

I'm tired of living in a cycle of sickness and struggle. I long for the day when I can work a normal job, enjoy life with my loved ones, and not be consumed by constant worry about my health and finances.

That's why I'm turning to you, my friends and family, my community, for help. Your support can make all the difference in my journey to recovery. With your generosity, I can access the treatment I need to regain my strength and rebuild a life of health and hope. These treatments are very costly but without them I continuously get weaker. At this point even a single transfusion would make a big difference, that's why I'm only hoping to get the bare minimum to pay for at least a single treatment, because something is better than nothing.

Four years ago, I broke free from a situation of abuse and finally began receiving the medical attention I desperately needed. Despite the hardships, I've always tried to maintain a positive outlook and keep pushing forward.

However, recently my health has taken a downturn, leaving me drained and struggling to find the energy for activities I once enjoyed, like dancing and creating art. It's been a challenging time, and I'm reaching out for support as I navigate this latest setback.

My ultimate goal in life is to help others break free from abusive situations. I aspire to attend college and pursue a career in advocacy, but right now, that dream feels distant. I know that with the right support and resources, I can overcome these obstacles and work towards making a meaningful difference in the lives of others... But it feels like a distant dream when all I can focus my energy on is trying to just make it through the day.
