Our Story

Hey everyone, Chris and Kate here! Thank you for taking the time to read our story.

As many of you know, we've been on a unique journey toward parenthood. Last year, Kate underwent IVF, and now we have a surrogate who is 21 weeks pregnant with our baby! We’re overjoyed and can’t wait to welcome our child into the world. Baby and surrogate are healthy, so that is the best news of all!

The Fraudulent Setback

We put all our money in an escrow account managed by Surrogacy Escrow Account Management (SEAM), but unfortunately, the owner was more than likely embezzling money, and we lost it all.

We, along with many other families, entrusted our funds to SEAM, only to discover that our money had disappeared. FOX 26 Houston and others have reported extensively on this issue, revealing that families across the country have lost thousands of dollars. Legal actions have been taken against SEAM, but the lack of response from SEAM has left us in limbo.

This fraud has devastated us emotionally and financially. We had $45,000+ in the escrow account, which was meant to cover surrogate compensation, legal fees, medical costs, and other expenses. Now, we have very little money to to pay for the rest of the journey, and our surrogate is already 21 weeks pregnant.

How You Can Help

We are now asking for your help to raise $45,000 to cover the funds lost due to this fraudulent activity. Any financial help would be a blessing.
