In memory of Kevin Slocumb

Today our dear father/brother/son/uncle passed away from terminal brain cancer. Kevin was diagnosed with cancer in April 2020, during the beginning of the pandemic. He was in the height of his life and career, working as a Music Teacher for the Cumberland County School System.

Kevin was a proud graduate of North Carolina A&T University, a member of Kappa Kappa Psi (KKPsi) music fraternity and served as Drum Major for North Carolina A&T University Blue and Gold Marching Machine while attending the university.

For a little over a year Kevin received radiation and chemotherapy treatments. On April 7, 2021 his treatment halted due to the aggressive growth of the tumor. Kevin fought so very hard to stay with us on earth, however, he departed from this world on May 11, 2021, at only 45 years old. He leaves behind 6 beautiful children.  

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking to please contribute to his burial fund. These funds will go towards helping with funeral and burial costs during this very difficult time.
