Help Kevin Stand On His Own

Hi my name is Dawn Lyon and I am raising funds for my brother who was diagnosed with spinal damage and is not going to be able to work for six months to a year.

On Thanksgiving his legs went weak and he fell several times. He thought he just had a pinched nerve but when he went to the emergency room and they had him meet with the neurosurgeon the next day. Last Thursday he endured an eight hour surgery consisting of: spinal fusion cervical interior and a thoracic posterior decompression with fusion. He will be in the hospital for a week and then in patient rehab.

He is a very hard-working guy but has suffered setbacks in his life. He is finally had a good point in his career and just purchased a newer semi truck which now he can’t drive. I would hate to see him lose his house car etc. all over this one medical hurdle.

Kevin is not only my brother but my best friend! We are only 1 year and 11 days apart so he’s been more like a twin. I know I can always count on him for anything! He is such a kind man and is always willing to help anyone even a stranger. He is the kind of guy that can fix anything so people are always asking him for help and he is happy to assist. I am very proud to be his sister!
