Help Kevin Tadlock

Update 2/26/23-
He’s doing physical therapy and passed the swallow test this week. He is still doing dialysis to help get the kidney function back to normal, but only three to four days a week. His blood sugar has been a little high so they are keeping a close watch and giving him insulin shots. He is able to have liquids until they take the feeding tube out, then they’ll slowly introduce solid foods. Kevin is obviously in pain, so some pain meds and sleep meds are needed to help with giving him some relief. He is so tough though and will get through this soon enough. They are thinking he may be there for another 2-3 weeks, longer if needed. He is still experiencing some slight confusion at times due to the meds and toxins. Sometimes he may not seem himself but that is going to continue to improve. The dialysis helps to clean out the toxins. As things improve, they are hoping to wean him off the dialysis. They had some trouble with his feeding tube getting clogged yesterday and when they tried replacing it today they were unable so they put him on an iv nutrition for now. We are still unsure of what their nutrition plan is for him but hope to be getting more information in the upcoming weeks. Right now he is able to have chicken and beef broth, and low sugar icee cups and well as some of the juices they approve for him.
