Help Kev during his battle with Stage 4 Cancer

It is with an incredibly heavy heart that I reach out to you on behalf of my husband and best friend, Kev.

At 45, just 5 months ago, he was sadly diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer. Stage 4 Bowel Cancer that has caused countless mestasis to the liver.

This devastating diagnosis came completely out of the blue, being sent away countless times from the GP and A&E, until finally we were offered a scan and our life was turned upside down.

Kev commenced chemo in October just days after finding out about the cancer and with no time to even get his head around it. He has had 7 rounds of palliative chemo, however, it has stopped being effective.

He has just started a different chemo in the hopes it can control and suppress his cancer.

During the last 5 months Kev has not only lost 35kg, he has had lympodema, a DVT, a pulmonary embolism, infections, decreased mobility, falls and is in constant pain.

But, he battles on. Making me, his children, his family and his friends incredibly proud of him. He really is our Superman.

We got married in December amongst all this and my wish is to take him somewhere to celebrate.

How you can help

Due to such a drop in weight, Kev needs new clothes. We are asking for donations to buy him specialised Chemo clothes with access to his Picc line for ease of treatment.

Kev loves being outside and we would love our garden to be made safe and some seating. So we are asking for donations towards seating, artificial grass or building materials/services from those who may have connections in the industry or who can help with supplies would be greatly appreciated.

I would love to be able to get him a comfortable recliner chair he can easily get out of as he struggles to stand

unaided. This would give him somewhere comfortable to sleep too as he can't go up stairs very well.
