Help Khadeeja Protect her Three Children During War
Don protégé
This fundraiser is being organized by me, Gregory Proch, and my son Laurelin, on behalf of the Kanoo family, who is facing terrible times in Gaza.
I will first let Khadeeja explain her situation. Following her presentation, I precise my role in this campaign.

About Me and My Family :
Hi, my name is Khadija Khaled Mahmoud Kanoo.
I was a teacher in Gaza, and my life was filled with peace and stability alongside my husband, Mohammed, and our three children: Hijazi (12 years old), Layan (11 years old), and Hossam (8 years old).
Our children were dedicated to their studies, full of curiosity and knowledge, and our dream was always to provide them with a bright and secure future.
We lived with hope and confidence in tomorrow.
What Happened on October 7th :
On October 7th, our lives changed forever.
I was living with my family in the Tel al-Hawa neighborhood in northern Gaza when explosions began to shake our homes.
Suddenly, our lives were filled with fear and chaos.
I had to flee south with my children in search for safety, while my husband Mohammed stayed in the North, severely injured and receiving treatment in the hospital.
I worry about him every day, as I am unable to contact him and have no idea about his current condition and wherabouts.
The Journey of Displacement and Suffering :
Our journey began by fleeing to Rafah, where we were told there was safety.
But the reality was disappointing ; the bombing continued everywhere, and we narrowly escaped death multiple times.
Finally, we reached the beach of Mawasi, Khan Younis, where an international organization provided us with a tent.
But life here is unbearable ; we suffer from a severe shortage of drinking water, struggle to find food, and my children have contracted skin diseases due to the harsh living conditions.
We’ve been displaced seven times since the beginning of the war.
Now, we are facing the danger of the Winter tides, which force us to move once again, away from the shoreline.
The move is incredibly stressful and costly. Things get broken and lost. It is hard to put down the tent and build it again elsewhere, for a single woman like me.
The Urgent Need for Help :
The most painful thing for me is seeing my children suffer in these dire circumstances.
The most important things we need now are :
- A canister to be able to buy gas the governement allocated to my family, to be able to cook.
- An oven to prepare bread and food for my children myself, instead of paying someone else to do it.
- Clothes for my children, as Winter rain arrived.
- Winter covers, mattresses, and a shade to stop the rain from flooding our tent.
A Call to Action - Help Us Restore Hope :
Your contribution will enable me to provide the care my chidren desperately need, and give them the opportunity to live in safety and dignity, away from fear and deprivation.
We rely on your generosity, for with your kindness, you can be the difference between despair and hope, between loss and stability.
With your support, we can build a new life filled with hope and security.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your help and support.

Due to the current circumstances, Khadeeja is unable to directly manage this campaign or receive the funds.
Therefore, my son and I are stepping in to help by organizing this fundraiser on her behalf.
As part of this arrangement, the funds raised will be deposited into my son’s bank account, as it is the easiest and most secure way to facilitate the transfer.
Every dollar will then be directed to Khadeeja to cover their daily living expenses. We will ensure that the funds are sent to them in full and used exactly as outlined in this campaign.
We are committed to complete transparency throughout this process and will provide regular updates on how the funds are being used to support Khadeeja and her children. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out to me.
Thank you so much for your generous support to Khadeeja and her beautiful children.
