Help Khadijat Become a Programmer & Game Designer♥

Hello!
I'm Khadijat, a 26 year old Black agender/asexual AFAB multimedia artist!
After 8 years of inconsistent finances and changing my course of study at multiple schools, I've finally settled on a major at the Community College of Allegheny County that aligns perfectly with the work I've been learning to create for myself and the community for at least the past two years; Multimedia Programming, Simulation & Gaming - and classes start August 31. ♥
I began learning graphic design from Skillshare & YouTube in November 2018, and I'm proud to share that since then, I've become proficient in both 2D and 3D motion graphics across several programs, receiving the opportunity to work for both nonprofits and with both local & international artists, as well as the support of a few well-established members of the global digital design world. I've also been learning music production in the same amount of time, and am currently working on a VR album to be released sometime in 2021.
This GoFundMe is to cover the costs of both a new computer (as I've explored motion graphics, my level of work has largely exceeded the capabilities of my current device), and the first semester of tuition before I'm able to apply for merit-based scholarships. My classes will be predominantly online, so I'll also be working and taking commissions during this next year that I'll be in school.
Currently, we're seeing the effects of a lack of Black and PoC representation (and other marginalized identities) in our public tech sectors, and as frustrating as biased sensors and prejudiced AI can be, we're also seeing tech further push the white supremacist narratives of desirability, of value of life, and of the pursuit of capital deeper and deeper into the fabric of society. I'm blessed that I've gotten a chance to explore my interests outside of school and have resuscitated my love for creation through code and other media, and am immensely grateful for all the support I've found as a self-taught artist thus far; but as kind as the compliments and amplification have been, the next actionable step is for us as a community to ensure that we're actively putting the people we claim we'd love to see contributing to these tech-building processes in the educational position to succeed in their endeavors.
Check out my portfolio at www.khadijat.com, and my resume on my LinkedIn - I'm open for photo and design commissions as well. I've attached some examples of visual design work I've created for clients and for myself in the past year and a half.
Thank you all so much for reading, sharing, and donating, and please remember (and act on the fact) that ALL Black Lives (and Futures) Matter.
