Help Khaled and his family escape Gaza

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Amal and I am originally from Lebanon I’m creating this fundraiser in the hope of helping rescue my friend Khaled who lives in Gaza and his family which contains of 8 members.

He asked me to share his voice with you, so that it might be heard. That’s what he said :

I am Khaled from Gaza, I am 17. I used to live in a beautiful, warm house with my family but now I lost beloved relatives and friends in Gaza and my warm house is destroyed by the Israeli occupation and all of our memories gone when we were forced to move to Rafah.
Since the start of the attack on Gaza after the 7th of October, we have been displaced more than three times trying to find a safe place but there is nowhere safe in Gaza! And we now live in a very small place with 25 others, and this place literally lacks the minimum necessities of life (lack of access to food, clothes, clean water and healthcare).

The photo above is of my youngest brother, he used to be full of energy and happiness before the war and now he is sitting on the rubble of the house.
I have a great family of 8: 2 sisters, one of them is in her third year at university, 3 brothers, one of them is in his second year in university, my parents, and me.

My parents suffered a lot trying to provide everything we needed, and I hate to see them tired like this. So I told myself that this is my turn to save my family and help them escape this terrible war, to go to a safer place and have a better future that enables us to achieve our dreams and education, as all the universities in my country have been destroyed and thus a year of our lives wasted.

We endured 135 days of war and we felt that they were years not days, but now I feel that we cannot endure more than that, we don’t want to be strong...we just want to live a normal life.

We have suffered greatly during all the years of our lives in Gaza. The wars here have not stopped for years and we survived more than six Israeli aggressions before, but this war in particular is the most violent and horrific of them.

It is getting more difficult here everyday and the people who survived from bombing are threatened by other factors such as the lack of clean water, food, medicines, and the inevitable spread of diseases.

A few days ago the occupation warned that it will destroy Rafah very soon and we have no other place to go so we could lose our lives at any moment now. We decided that we must evacuate to a safer place to get a better future, maintain our health, and simply to stay alive…

Unfortunately, the only way for us to survive at the moment is to leave Gaza through the Egyptian border. However, in order to be able to leave and cross the borders we need a huge amount of money, as we are a family of 8 members , we have to pay $6,000 per person ($48,000 for my entire family), in addition to passport fees of $150 per person ($1,200 for the whole family).
And also some money that enables us to rent a house to stay in and buy some good clothes, because when we left our house before it was destroyed, we could not take anything with us and we left with only the clothes we were wearing.

For this reason, I am reaching out to you all, to help me and my family before it’s too late...
I believe that each of us is capable of doing good and saving others in many ways, and your support today will help ensure that at least one Palestinian family finds safety.

In the end, I would like to tell you that I'm grateful to all of you who gave up buying things and instead helped and donated to save my family. It means a lot to me. I pray that you and your families are forever safe from the horrors of this world , and believe me it will not be wasted, on the contrary, it will save an entire family and make them live in safety❤️.
