Be the Hope for Ayman's Family in Gaza

Hello everyone,
My name is Ayman Sami, and I'm reaching out to you from the UK with a heartfelt plea for help. Originally from Gaza, I came to the UK on a skilled worker visa to work as a software engineer. Unfortunately, my contract is about to end, and I've recently applied for asylum due to the escalating conflict back home. As I await the outcome, my thoughts and prayers are constantly with my family, who are facing unimaginable hardships.
Back in Gaza, my family has been thrust into dire circumstances because of the recent war. Our family home—a place filled with cherished memories, laughter, and love—has been completely destroyed. The walls that once sheltered my parents and siblings have been reduced to rubble. They now find themselves living in a tent, exposed to harsh weather and the lingering dangers of a conflict-ridden environment.
Every day is a struggle for them. Basic necessities that many of us take for granted—clean water, food, warm clothing—are scarce. My younger siblings wake up each day not knowing where their next meal will come from or if they'll be safe. The psychological toll of this uncertainty is immense, and it's heartbreaking to know that they are enduring such suffering while I am so far away.
Being unable to be there for them physically is one of the hardest things I've ever experienced. While I am doing everything I can from here, my resources are very limited, especially with the uncertainty surrounding my own situation in the UK.
We are raising funds to help my family not just survive but begin the arduous journey of rebuilding their lives. The funds will be used for:
- Immediate Shelter: Providing a safe and secure place for my family to stay, protecting them from the elements and offering a semblance of normalcy.
- Essential Supplies: Ensuring they have access to food, clean water, warm clothing, and hygiene products to maintain their health and dignity.
- Medical Care: Covering the costs of any medical attention they may need, including trauma care and mental health support.
- Rebuilding Our Home: Starting the process of reconstructing our family home, a place where they can feel safe and rebuild their lives.
- Educational Support: One of my younger sisters, my dear Basmala, is currently in the last year of high school where her score can determine her future and what college she can attend. Sadly with the complete destruction of the educational system she is forced to study online to even get her degree, and with the destruction of the communications infrastructure the cost of internet has skyrocketed that I can't reach them for most days of the week let alone have stable internet for her to study.
I will personally oversee the transfer and use of all funds, making sure that every donation directly benefits my family's immediate and long-term needs. Transparency is incredibly important to me. I will provide regular updates to all supporters, sharing stories and photos (where possible) of how your contributions are making a real difference.
Your generosity can bring hope to a situation filled with despair. Every donation, no matter the size, is a step towards giving my family a safe place to sleep, food to eat, and the comfort of knowing they are not alone in this struggle.
I'd completely understand If you're unable to donate, Sharing this campaign with your friends, family, and social networks can make a significant impact just as well. The more people who know about our situation, the greater the chance we have of reaching our goal.
From the depths of my heart, thank you for taking the time to read our story. Your kindness and compassion mean more than words can express. In a world that sometimes feels overwhelmed by conflict and hardship, your support reminds us that there is still so much good and humanity out there.
With sincere gratitude,
Ayman Sami
