Help Kiarra Garvey Walk Again
Donation protected
Kiarra is a sweet spunky 9-year-old girl whose life was turned upside down on January 19th, 2022. It was a normal Wednesday kiarra woke up happy and excited to go to school to see her friends. She left the house walking and happy. While at school, her legs started cramping, so she went to the school nurse. Her mother Lanie was notified and went and picked kiarra up and brought her to her pediatrician. while at the pediatrician, she was progressively getting worse and was brought to the children’s hospital. After many grueling hours and tests which included a lumber puncture, it was determined that kiarra had Guillain- Barre Syndrome (GBS). Guillain-Barre Syndrome affects the nerves throughout your body. The Drs started an excruciating treatment, thankful they stopped it from progressing to her heart and lungs. Unfortunately, the treatment does not reverse the damage. Most of her effects are the functions of her legs and bladder. There is no medicine to fix the effects that Guillain-Barre syndrome (GBS) has caused. At this time kiarra is still admitted to the Children’s Hospital, has her mother by her side, and is receiving intense physical therapy. This has been a traumatic event for Kiarra, her older sister and her parents. Her mother stays with her most days, and her father is driving one hour each way to be available for both his children while working to support his family.
Kiarra’s smile, optimism, and humor are the light of our lives. Every day we are blown away by her dedication and positivity to get better through the good times and the bad. Her family is moving mountains every day to help her walk again. Please help Kiarra and her family remain hopeful and keep up the fight. Any positive wishes or contributions will make Kiarras’s life immeasurably more accessible. All support will go directly to her medical bills, travel expenses, and anything to accommodate her getting better
.
Anyone who knows this family knows that they are honest, hardworking, and generous. They are always willing to offer help and support to their families, friends, and neighbors. If you cannot donate, please consider sharing. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
