Hi my name is Kiasi Johnson on Dec 28 2021 I woke up feeling fine, started my day volunteering at the community center feeding the homeless which I do a couple times a months, within 1 hour of being there I found myself fighting for my life. I got a really bad headache and sharp pains in the back of my neck, my head got stiff and I could barely move it. The ambulance was called and thank God they arrived in minutes and the hospital was only about 2 minutes away. The doctor told me that I was a very sick woman, he proceeded to tell me that I had a Brain Anuresium and that my brain was bleeding. I was air lifted to another hospital where I had immediate surgery.
The first 48 hours was critical, my brain was steady swelling, I was running a fever, and the doctors didn't know why. Things weren't looking good, but My God. He is a miracle worker, I've seen with my own eyes what he can accomplish. I came out that coma, My God never left my side. I laid in bed for weeks, Iaying there watching the blood dripping from my brain from the tube they had running from my head. God has plans for me and he seen me through. I stayed in ICU 19 days before I got a regular room, then had to be transferred to a therapy hospital.
God gave me the strength to overcome and now I am home. I have a lot of healing, and it's going to be a long and hard journey. I usually don't cry out for help, but it's going to be at least 6 months before I can think about going back to work. Since returning home I have applied for unemployment and disability benefits which will take 90-120 days. With that in mind I'm reaching out to my friends, family, and just anyone willing and able to help make this process a little easier and less stressful since I have no income coming in.
