Help kids in Honduras continue their education

We are Desprendete, a non-profit based in Honduras, that provides immediate assistance to communities with low resources through material donations while also promoting education, in order to help them improve their quality of life and better their environment.

We are raising funds to help the community of Utlatmu located in La Mosquitia, Honduras. This community is located in the most remote area in Honduras and their access to food, water, power energy, and more, is scarce. For this specific project (Mission KUPYA), which would be the second edition, we want to provide assistance to 300 kids (120 boys and 180 girls) in the community by giving them backpacks, school materials, and hygiene kits, to continue with their education. Their desire to learn is witnessed by the effort they put into attending their classes: they have to walk long distances (+1 hour) to go to the only school available, and giving them materials such as the one in this project would not only motivate them to continue their enthusiasm but also create bridges of trust between the organizations involved in this project, letting them know we are here to help.
