Help Kieran in Her Fight Against Cancer!

Meet Kieran Jimenez...a silly, spunky & sassy little 8-year-old girl, whose life has changed drastically in a matter of 3 weeks. What should have been the start to a fun & relaxing summer of sleeping in, hanging out by the pool with her family and friends and taking beach vacations, has now been replaced with hospital stays and Chemo treatments 2.5 hrs away from home.
Over the past 3 months, Kieran has been seen by multiple doctors. First, for a very swollen lymph node, then for an abscess on her cheek. Each time they were told that she most likely had an infection. She was prescribed antibiotics, which helped some, but not completely. She then developed a growth on her eyebrow and again her parents were told it was an infection, given antibiotics and told not to worry. Not accepting the diagnosis of “just an infection”, they decided Kieran needed to be seen by a trusted Dr who would listen. This Dr is out of town, and unfortunately out-of-network, so paying out-of-pocket was necessary for her to be seen. He, too didn’t seem too worried, as the growth wasn't "presenting" as cancer and Kieran had NO other symptoms, but suggested to remove it anyway and biopsy it. On June 13th, Kieran had surgery to have the growth removed, on June 15th, 2022, the Dr. informed her parents that it was Lymphoma. The next day, she was admitted to a children's hospital out of town to undergo a battery of tests to determine if it was benign or malignant. After a number of tests were performed (MRI, CT, PET scan, spinal tap and bone marrow biopsy), her parents received the unfathomable news that no parent ever wants to hear...She has Stage 2 Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma (ALCL), a rare type of non-Hodgkin Lymphoma.
Kieran is currently receiving her 1st round of Chemotherapy, and showing cancer who's Boss! Her mom said she is a Trooper! This hasn't been easy for her or her family, as she has to spend time away from her Dad, her brother Kingston, and her 2 dogs. Her mom has taken a leave of absence from work to care for Kieran during her treatments. Once she returns to work, her Dad (Victor, my brother) will take a leave of absence from work to resume her care. Aside from everyday living costs, her medical bills, hospital stays, medications, and cost to travel are adding up. Any and all donations are VERY much appreciated. Above all else, please keep Kieran & her family in your prayers. PRAY that her side effects are minimal, as well as physical and emotional STRENGTH. Her parents have been so strong and positive for her, please PRAY for continued Strength and Courage for them, as well.
My name is Amanda and I am Kieran's Aunt. Together, with her family, we have created this fundraiser in hopes of lessening the financial strain caused by this disease so that her Dad, Vic and Mom, Ana can focus on Kieran, her big brother Kingston, and be by her side as she beats Cancer!
