Help Kim Achieve Her Nursing Dream

Hi everyone! My name is Kim and I am a nursing student at Long Island University. I'm reaching out for support due to financial hardship when entering my junior year. 

When I initially decided what I wanted to be, I got my bachelors in teaching because I always knew that I wanted to help people. Unfortunately, I exhausted my FAFSA resources in order to do so and little did I know, nursing was my calling. 

My son was diagnosed with epilepsy very early on in his life. Through this diagnosis, I was able to discover how much passion I have for being by someone’s side and supporting them through their most vulnerable moments. Hence, the start of my nursing career. 

I have been a CNA for several years, and I work as much as I physically can in order to be able to support myself and my family. Copious overtime shifts, on top of nursing school, is wearing me down and it still isn’t enough. I am asking for help. 

If you are able to contribute in any way, it would mean the world to me and help ensure that I can achieve my dream of becoming a nurse. This is my last resort.
