Help KIM with her cancer battle

I am Linda Niemeyer, mother of Kimberly Miland and I’m here to ask for your help for Kim. She has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer and is scheduled for surgery in February.

Those of you who know Kim, know just how generous and loving she is. She will do anything in her power to help out people in need. Whether it’s giving rides, financial help, donating to fundraisers, (sometimes even to people she doesn’t even know personally!) or just support to a friend or relative who is suffering or in need of something Kim will be there for them, even if she cuts herself short. Friends and relatives have all been the recipients of Kim’s home cooked soups and cookies at some time. She watches out for everyone but herself. I know she was a HUGE help to me during the entire time my husband was terminally ill. She even moved back to Spring Valley to be closer, though she had moved to Duluth just a few months before, something she had wanted to do for years. But she gave that up just to be of help to loved ones.

As a single mom, Kim always has always supported herself and her daughter Grace, by working multiple jobs to do so. She currently works in a group home setting, and only now, with the cancer diagnosis, is giving up three of her cleaning jobs, to finally take care of herself. Kim always has a cheerful smile and attitude to match, no matter what. Even with this serious health issue she still has a smile on her face. Have no doubt she will appreciate any and all help!

Kim has insurance through her job but with a very large deductible…. $6000 per year! She still is making payments on the 2023 deductible and since we just moved into 2024, there will be another $6000 due. Kim will be off work up to two weeks, so will need help to keep up with living expenses also. There are so many more examples of Kim’s good nature and generosity that I could tell you about but if you have ever been on the receiving end of her help and friendship, PLEASE be of help to Kim now and donate what you can.
