Help Lift the Burden

For anyone that knows me, they know the one thing that very hard for me to do is ask for help.
My name is Kimberly Murphy and I am reaching out to you now asking for just that — help.
In 2007, I was approaching the end of my Freshman year of college when I started to notice things were not normal. I did not feel well or like my normal self at all.
Over break I went to the doctor and received the news that would change my life forever.
"Kimberly, you have Graves Disease."
I had no idea what it was or how it would affect me. However, at 18 years old, I was not going to let it keep me from doing what I wanted to do. My mother discussed treatment options with the doctors and decided that we would use the radioactive iodine treatment to kill off my thyroid. Everything went well; I was looking forward to the start of my Sophomore year. I was getting ready to leave when my doctor called and told me I would have to stay home for the year... What!? I was just about to get in the car to leave! I was devastated but decided to make the best of it.
In the Fall of 2008, I was FINALLY cleared to go back to college. This is when I met my husband! He has been my rock and support ever since we met.
My health was still an on-going battle. My dorm mates would come to me and say that I was a motivation and inspiration to them. No matter what happened, I did not let what was going on stop me from continuing on!
I graduated in 2010. Daniel and I had already been through so much together. He was always there to help me no matter what. We both knew we were meant to be there for one another... forever; we married that June.
I have gone through surgeries, emergencies, and tests since then fighting the effects that Graves contributes to. You can imagine how this has limited us greatly financially. The struggle with my health continues on to this very day.
I recently have had a new issue arise which requires an MRI and possibly other tests to fully diagnose. This is why I am here, I need help with these expenses.
I plan to use all donations to pay for the MRI done today. (April 21, 2018) They gave me an estimated cost of $4,500 which I can break down into payments once I receive the first statement.
I know everyone has their own hardships in everyday life, but if you can help in any way, we will be forever grateful!
Feel free to message me on Facebook if you have any questions
Thank you and God Bless!
