Help Kimberly Mott Wynne on the Road to Recovery!

Hi! I'm Danielle and I'm raising money for my Aunt Kimberly!
Kimberly is one of the most energetic and enthusiastic people you could ever meet. Her sense of humor is unrivaled, and she always knows how to make the best of a situation.
All you have to do is look at the seemingly endless number of friends Kimberly has to know how amazing she is. She is surrounded by love. In addition to her friends, she has a family that relies on her love: her son William, her parents Pam and Walt, boyfriend Forrest, bonus kids Leah and Nathan, sister Natalie, Uncle Bill, Aunt Bonnie, the entire Wynne family, and her dog Silas.

In 2007, Kimberly’s husband, Brian, passed away. Since then, she has raised her son to be a courageous, thoughtful, and passionate young man. He currently attends Georgia Tech.
Unfortunately, this year has been full of health struggles for Kimberly. She's suffered from both COVID-19 and sepsis and been hospitalized multiple times.
On 10/8/2021, Kimberly was hospitalized once again. After a ton of testing, she was unfortunately diagnosed with late-stage liver failure. Things were touch and go for nearly a month as we waited to hear about her condition. On 10/29, three weeks after she was admitted, we found out that she was placed on the transplant list. The condition of her liver was so severe that she was bumped to the top of the list.
On 11/1, the real miracle occurred. Kimberly received a donor liver! She endured an 8-hour surgery which went perfectly. She will need extensive physical rehabilitation in order to fully regain her mobility. Family and friends have been overjoyed at her recovery thus far and we cannot wait to see how much better she gets in the following days.
Liver transplants are not a cheap treatment. The cost of this hospital stay and surgery are monumental. To add to this burden, Kimberly has unfortunately lost her job. Due to the nature of her previous workplace, she is only eligible for COBRA for a short time. Finding new health insurance will be an added expense. We are asking for donations to ease the financial burden on her and her family so that she can start strong on the road to recovery.
