As if 2020 wasn’t rough enough, with a traumatic eye injury and not one, but two emergency surgeries, as well as being blinded, leave it to Kimpossible to take 2021 to a whole new level. After a few months of not working out (due to doctors orders) Kim continued to work, walk dogs, do yard and housework, etc. but when she returned to working out she got her butt kicked. Figuring it was a typical loss of fitness, she persevered and powered through. It took falling to the bottom of the SugarWod leaderboard to make her suspect something was up. A routine physical has revealed that it wasn’t just aging or lack of daily workouts causing fatigue and shortness of breath, it’s fucking cancer. 3 blood transfusions later, Kim will begin chemo and treatment on at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore.

Thoughts, prayers, wishes and woo are requested and appreciated. We are looking to raise funds to help Kim and Barb during Kim’s fight. Funds will be used to offset travel costs, medical expenses and other costs associated with her battle.

As one of her former co-workers stated;

Kim also known as "Kimmy" or "SWAT mom" is much more than another cop. Kim was a Division 1 cross country runner at Duke University and was also the crossfit champion of the world. She has broken barriers in law enforcement as the first woman on #realSWAT, first female firearms instructor among many other things. She is currently a (Captian) the highest ranking female at the Sheriff's Office.

Kim was one of my FTO's and truly taught me the value of critical thinking. She was an amazing SWAT officer who was one of the calmest people during operations I have ever worked with. Kim has supervised hundreds and hundreds of SWAT ops, barricades, hostage situations, shootings, etc etc etc etc.. She sets the example for calm leadership, watching out for her people, and always leading from from the front...
