Help Kirk Hohensheldt 9.11 1st Responder WTC
Donation protected
Kirk was a 9/11 first responder and his family is now in need of our help.
Unfortunately it is with a broken heart that I tell you, on May 15, 2023 Kirk succumbed to his battle with his 9/11 certified cancer from his time spent working on the pile at Ground Zero. He is diagnosed with Esophagus Cancer that has metastasis to his Liver and other organs. This type of cancer is one that is consistent with 9/11 WTC First Responders who so selflessly gave of themselves for months on end. 9/11 First Responders continue to pass away from illnesses related to the horrific attacks at WTC. Every year the numbers grow.
Kirk has a 15-year-old son that is not going to have his father to see him graduate, drive and see him reach other milestones throughout his life. Kirk was Union Iron Worker and worked at 9/11 Ground Zero to do clean-up and worked directly on the pile. He has given so much for others and now he has given his all. World Trade Center does not cover Roswell Park Cancer Center bills and he has been there twice in one week and local Albany specialists. Having to pay 20 percent of the bills is something he should not have had to think about after he gave this country his all in helping clean up from 9/11. Any donation would be a blessing and be used for medical bills and any left over funds will be put towards Kirk’s funeral expenses and his son’s college education.
With a little help from all of you and his family we could help them with their bills, funeral expenses and his son’s college education.
He had tremendous love for his son, Kevin, and the thought of not being here for him was ripping Kirk apart.
If you could please help, no donation is to small. This will help his family offset the cost and alleviate the worry about billing and to help them concentrate on healing in their time of grief.
We will never forget.
Thank you. Tina
