Help Kirsta through Lung Cancer
Donation protected
We're writing on behalf of our friend Kirsta who was diagnosed with cancer in late 2021. After suffering from a household accident, she had some x-rays done to ensure everything was ok. During that screening, a vigilant radiologist noticed a spot on her lung that turned out to be a tumor. She is a non-smoker, so this diagnosis was very unexpected. After lots of additional testing, they determined that she will need surgery to remove the tumor, which is scheduled for January 26th. After the surgery, her care team will provide a more detailed treatment plan and next steps.
Kirsta is a lifelong member of the Guilford community, from helping her father plant a garden at Guilford Court as a teenager, volunteering with Guilford Fire Department in her 20's, later volunteering at Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelter, and today being a Guilford Rotarian. As a small business owner, she works really hard, but doesn't have the most deluxe health insurance, so this surprise diagnosis is a big unplanned expense.
We want to help Kirsta raise the money to cover her insurance deductible so that she can focus on getting a plan for her care, her cure, and her continued participation in the life of the Guilford community
Please consider donating to help support our friend. Any amount helps!
