Help Kitty Get Urgent Life-Saving Surgery
Donation protected
I don’t even know where to start with this. This morning, our kitty (whose name I cannot mention without GFM taking down the fundraiser for) suddenly started vomiting at 7 AM. She vomited twelve times and started yowling, bobbing her head like a pigeon. Kept getting up and laying down, then getting up and laying down while crying. Which is already rough on her to do in the first place, because she has arthritis. And she wasn’t drinking anything and refusing to eat.
We rushed her to the emergency animal hospital and they took her in for bloodwork, x-rays, and care immediately. A few hours later, we were called into a room and given her results. Her bloodwork mostly lined up with her usual bloodwork results, being a cat that has pancreatitis, diabetes, and IBD. It was slightly off though, which was only the beginning of our concerns.
Her x-rays, however, revealed that she most likely has either a multitude of gallbladder stones, a gallbladder infection, a gallbladder blockage, a distended colon, a tumor, or a combination of all of the above. We were told that they cannot be sure what it is without ultrasounds.
At this point, we had already signed over more than we could afford for the whole month, and the ultrasounds are going to be another $600+. We asked what would be treatment going forward from that. Regardless of which it is, it is going to require surgery that costs anywhere from $7,000-$9,000. At this point they also brought up the worst option that you could ever hear as a pet parent and told us that she most likely will not make it another week without urgent medical help and surgery.
We had just recently took her in for labs and checking up as well, as she recently had a nasty upper respiratory infection that was finally clearing up. We’ve been doing as much as we can to care for her on our own, but vet bills stack up fast.
We have nothing we can do more for her financially. We’ve exhausted everything. I never want to ask anything from anybody, but this is my baby. She is the absolute sweetest and most gentle being that I have ever had the honor to come across in this existence. I will do anything for her. And so I am creating a GoFundMe for her as my last effort to help her as she does not have time and it is urgent.
I don’t want to lose her and I want her to get better and be given a chance. She was just running around and playing yesterday. I can’t wrap my mind around it. I’m still in a haze typing all of this.
Thank you for reading. Any shares and donations are appreciated more than I could ever express in words. Every single penny will go towards helping her.
We and our furbaby thank you.
