Help Klajdi Get Back To His Family

Hi, my name is Jorda and I am fundraising to aid in a tragedy that struck my brother-in-law. Anyone who knows Klajdi Rrasa knows that he is the most hard-working and dedicated father to his two children, Aiden and Amelia, and loving husband to my sister, Ada. He is a pillar of the Albanian community in Toronto, building connections and helping people get on their feet just as he did when he arrived in Canada ten years ago.

Last week, an accident befell my brother-in-law when he fell to the ground from a height of 50ft and ended up in Sunnybrook Hospital's Critical Care Unit. For more than 4 days, he was fighting for his life as the doctors did everything they could. We were counting the hours and remaining thankful for every hour that passed with him still alive. As we are eternally grateful to the surgeons, doctors, nurses, and specialists who have been fighting diligently to save his life - we know that life as they know it will never be the same for Klajdi and Ada with a long uphill battle ahead. Funds raised from this will go towards his recovery - with more surgeries and physiotherapy to help get him on his feet. As we all know, life is getting more and more expensive everyday and going from two incomes to one, with the added pressure of all the additional medical and rehabilitation expenses, will most certainly add to the stress and struggle they will have to overcome.

All of the thoughts & prayers in the world have saved us and brought him this far - I call on our community to heal and ease the suffering by lightening their load. We’ve seen how the love and support from a community can make all the difference. I am hoping that together we can join forces and help them with whatever is available so that we can focus all our energy on getting Klajdi home.
