Help Klara to host Ukrainian family in Warsaw

Dear Friends,

As many of you know, I originate from Warsaw. Poland and Warsaw are hosting at the moment an enormous number of Ukrainian refugees escaping from the Russian aggression over their country. Every gesture of support counts!

So here is a thing. I have a small studio flat in Warsaw that I usually use when I'm there and rent for a short stay for friends and artists. But this Spring will be different.

I want you to help me host a Ukrainian family there - a mother with a six-year-old boy who managed to escape from Kyiv. To be honest, I don't know her personally, I know that she is a friend of my friend and that she is a dancer too.

I want to make sure that their bills are paid for the next 3 months, so they could focus on their everyday challenges.

I need about £150 a month to cover all bills (rent, water, gas & electricity, waste management), so I hope we can do it together. I would love to buy them a new mattress too, as it should be replaced years ago and as it was ok for me to fall into its hole, it will be difficult for a mother with a boy. That's an extra £100. Let's see if we can make it.

In meantime, my family and friends are engaged with helping them with travel, collecting necessary everyday use items, doing grocery shopping for their arrival. So they will be cared for.
