Help Knute and Judy

Hi, my name is JoEllyn Sharkey. On January 28th, my dad, Knute Bice, brought my mom, Judy, to the doctor in Anaconda for an infection in her foot. She was immediately admitted to the hospital. The infection had become septic and despite the doctor's best efforts, on Sunday night, January 30th, mom had to undergo emergency surgery, having her right leg amputated just below the knee. We are so thankful the doctors were on their A-game because a few more hours of that infection coursing through her veins would have cost her her life.

She is getting stronger every day but as you can imagine, medical bills will add up quickly, travel to and from the hospital and food "on the go" isn't cheap and regular bills still need to be paid.

There are a lot of additional things that will be needed to help mom and dad adjust to this life changing event. We need to build a ramp and railing system in their house. Get a handicapped accessible shower and I'm sure many other things that we haven't thought of quite yet being this is a sudden change in lifestyle for them.

We would like to make this transition as smooth as possible and have things ready for her by the time she is released to come home.

Any prayers, help and support is needed to assist mom and dad in this high stress transition and is greatly appreciated.
