Hey. I'm Kofi. I'm 13 years old and on a mission: to make the world a better place. Sounds pretty corny, but I really feel like I can do stuff, and I'm gonna die eventually, so why not do something meaningful?

I'm black.

You might not think that upon meeting me. I live in a white neighborhood with white parents and go to a predominantly white school.

But the little things in my life make up who I really am: my hair, the music I listen to, the people I hang out with, etc.

And while I might not have the experience most people of my particular skin tone have, I always love to learn about my ethnic roots and find myself in other ways.

This fundraiser is a part of my Bar Mitzvah project. (Yeah, I'm Jewish. I promise you. I'm trying here) It's my goal to make sure people like me who might not be in such a lucky position get to know that there are other people like them. Other people who can do things like this to help others.
