Help Koltan Strikeout Cancer
Donation protected
My name is Dezeray, and I am creating this page for my son Koltan. My son was diagnosed with a large cancerous tumor on his femoral bone into his hip on April 8th, 2025, and our lives changed within 24 hours.
Most of you know Koltan lives with me and his younger sister Izzy in Wyoming, while all of our family remains back in Colorado. Koltan is 17 years old, going into his senior year of high school. The toll this tumor has taken on his body is not something any child should ever have to deal with, especially going into their senior year. The pain from the tumor used to come and go, and now it's there almost every day. He is unable to play the sports he loves, especially baseball, which he has done every single year since he could swing a bat, because the femur bone is so thin it could potentially cause a fracture if he slides, trips running, or even tries to tag someone out.
I have taken Koltan to Denver, and we have met with a team of doctors who are treating him for this specific condition. Koltan has had a bone marrow biopsy done, which was hard on his body as well, and now we are looking at surgery to remove the tumor, with some possible implants or bone grafting to fix his femoral bone in his leg.
With me being the primary caregiver and having to take him to and from appointments, along with the medical bills that are coming in, I am reaching out for help. So many people have asked me how they can help, and the financial burden is the most concerning. With Koltan's surgery coming up, I do not know how long my daughter and I will be staying in Denver with him, and having the peace of mind of not having to worry about missed work, prescriptions, necessities he will need at home to help, shower chair, hotels, gas, food, and any other emergency that may arise would be the most help ever right now.
Even if you cannot donate, please pray for him. Your prayers mean more than anything. Thank you all.
