Help Krave Amiko Record Their 3rd Album!

Krave Amiko began in early 2019 by Rob Walsh and a handful of songs crafted by combining homemade lo-fi acoustic guitar samples, trip-hop inspired rhythm sections, and lyrical storytelling. Stephanie Barcelona joined soon after, bringing her soulful vocal style that would come to define their sound. Nestor Teran was recruited to lay down his specific brand of lead guitar and together they headed into Echo Mountain Recording Studio in Downtown Asheville under the wise tutelage of Producer Autumn Greenfield. That album, “BEFORE THE WORDS,” was released on May 5, 2020.

In October 2020, they added another piece of the sonic puzzle, bassist Joseph Allawos. After several live fill-ins and a long and arduous search, they finally found their forever drummer in Jonathan Harwood in late 2021. Their unique blend of folk, indie rock, and pop sensibility sets Krave Amiko apart from the pack.

Their sophomore album HMNKND was written and recorded during the pandemic of 2020. Self-recorded remotely, it was mixed at Echo Mountain and mastered by Kurt Festge at Alloy Sound - both in Asheville. This epic self-release shows the band in a much more mature soundscape, both lyrically and musically.

With the ever-prolific Robby Walsh constantly writing and creating new material, and his bandmates flawlessly meshing and building upon his sketches, Krave Amiko is poised to record their third album with Eric Serafin. To the uninitiated, Serafin aka Mixerman, has worked with Ben Harper, and The Pharcyde, just to name a few.

These days, instead of signing with record companies and being forever beholden to them, artists are self-funding the recording process thereby giving themselves more autonomy over their music and the vision for themselves as artists.

Krave Amiko is comprised of five musicians who individually have been nurturing their talents over the past 20 years, but hadn't found the right fit in other musical endeavors. The stars aligned when Krave Amiko formed, and the combination of talent, melody, and lyrics is downright beautiful. The band now has a chance to take things to the next level and YOU can help make it happen!
