Help Kris Fight Stage 4 Cancer

Dear friends and family,

6 months ago my younger brother Kris Rico started experiencing a dull and achy pain in his left abdominal. He was under the care of his PCP but they were unable to determine a diagnosis. Because of his being an otherwise healthy 30 year old, his doctor had initially ruled out certain diagnoses. As time passed symptoms worsened with loss of appetite, weight loss, night sweats and extreme fatigue. The pain got so bad it was hard to walk and work. We decided to consult a family friend physician who suggested immediate medical attention with a CT scan of the abdomen. The CT scanned revealed a 6.5 cm in diameter solid mass on the tail end of his pancreas. After further testing it was concluded that the mass was a neuroendocrine carcinoma tumor and could be removed surgically. On October 29th during surgery, the procedure was aborted because the cancer had metastasized to his liver so a biopsy was done because surgery was no longer an option. Right now intense chemotherapy is the only treatment option left.

This has caused emense emotional, physical and financial suffering to my brother. All support is welcomed during this difficult time.
