Help Kris Fund Endometriosis Surgery Costs

I’m Nikki and I’m raising surgery deductible + recovery funds for my partner, Kristen.

Over the past few years, Kris’ life has been completely devastated by a severe case of Endometriosis. Endo is an often misunderstood, and under-studied, full-body inflammatory disease that causes debilitating pain on a daily basis. It is not just “bad periods”. This disease has caused Kris to be unable to work and rarely feel well enough to leave the house. They live connected to a heating pad, and downing ibuprofen, as little non-surgical treatments are available.

Kris underwent their first Endo surgery exactly a year ago, with a doctor who was misleading, and long story short— they have come to learn over the past year that they received an out-dated and essentially useless surgery. It actually may have caused more damage.

However, yesterday Kris saw the leading Endometriosis specialist in So-Cal. Immediately this doctor was appalled by what the previous surgeon had done, and booked Kris for the proper procedure: Endometriosis Excision surgery. The doctor said with full confidence that this procedure will, “Get you back to your life”. Something neither of us had much hope for at this point, it has been such a struggle for so long.

The doctor was able to schedule Kris’ surgery for less than 10 days from now, another thing we were not quite prepared for, but are incredibly excited and hopeful to get back to life!

We however are financially not in a position to cover the cost of the deductible and the recovery time, especially after Kris has been unable to work in so long.

Hello everyone! I’m four weeks out from surgery and starting to feel more like myself. I wanted to take a moment to say thank you for all of the support. I was very nervous to ask for help but the way you all showed up for me means the absolute world to me. I haven’t been able to work like I used to for a long time. Endometriosis has caused me chronic pain for much of these past few years and not being able to live my life has been frankly incredibly depressing and difficult. Every single person who has donated and shared my go fund me has had a direct hand in my healing and I am forever grateful to you all. It is thanks to you that I was able to afford this surgery and afford to take some time off to heal. I can’t thank you all enough! ❤️

I have updated the goal to include the cost of my first two appointments of physical therapy. Thank you again for all of your support. Living with Endometriosis has left me feeling isolated and helpless at times… but y’all have shown me a great deal of kindness that has helped alleviate that so much. Again, I am forever grateful to you all ❤️
