Help Kris Yunker Keep the Music Alive

Hi, I'm Kris Yunker, organist/keyboardist in Bearly Dead and many other projects and I'm in serious need of help.

My livelihood is dependent upon driving myself and my gear to shows. Recently, I had a big setback with my van and need a new transmission. This comes unexpectedly as my van is fairly new and only has 100k miles. I'm used to cars not having these issues until further in the car's life. This will set me back significantly and I just can't afford that with my current income.

I know my love for music brings a lot of joy to people and I want to continue this for my time here on earth as long as I possibly can. This is how I know best to serve humanity, by creating joyful spaces of love and music to lift people's spirits so humanity can be the best it can be. The only thing is, with this line of work, it can be hard financially. So, I'm here asking for whomever can help me to help everyone who needs the music that I share.

Countless shows I have had so many people come up to me after with a wide range of gratitude. Some of the most impactful stories I have heard are from people telling me how they just lost someone or they're going through a rough time and the music I shared helped them through that moment. These are the moments in this career that I really know what I am doing is needed and making a difference. I know there can be stigmas with musicians that we're doing it just to party and rock out. While it is fun and I would rather be playing music than anything else, there is also hard work that has to be done and it can be very tough. But also know that this path is not just for me. It's for all the people that benefit.

This amount I'm asking for includes the cost of the new transmission plus the rental car fees while my van is getting repaired and I raise the funds. Any extra will go to improving my keyboard rig that constantly requires repairs and updates.
