Help Kristie Huff with Hurricane Ian Relief

Hi, my name is Kellie Huff, and I am organizing this GoFundMe on my mom's, Kristie Huff, behalf. To say Hurricane Ian hit Fort Myers hard is a gross understatement. The town I grew up in and love is in complete disrepair. Places that hold such fond memories for me, my family, and my friends are now gone. Our entire community is hurting. Unfortunately, our story is not unique, but my family lost our house in this disaster. Flood waters from the Caloosahatchee came close to 4 feet inside our home and left very little salvageable. My mom just finished renovating the interior and exterior of the house just months ago, and now all that work is destroyed. Her car was also flooded and will have to be replaced entirely. If any of you know my mother, you know how strong she is. She has faced so many challenges in life, and she has remained humble, kind, funny, loving, giving, and so much more. She will never let anyone know, but I know this disaster has her hurting deeply. She spent so much time and money to make her home her sanctuary, and now it is an empty shell of what it was. She will never ask for it, but I know she needs help. Many have reached out to ask how they can help, so I am making this page as an answer to that question. At this time, anything and everything helps. My mom is trying to find temporary housing that can accommodate three large dogs and four people in the greater Fort Myers area where she can stay while the house is being rebuilt.
