Help Kristin Alexander with medical bills

Hi! My name is Heather and I worked with Kristin at Prisma Health for 4 years. If you know Kristin, you know that she is always helping someone. Whether helping her fellow nurses with their patients, running errands for her family, or babysitting her nephews, she is always serving others. Now she is in need of our help!

 

In August of 2019, Kristin began to have issues with what she thought was not focusing or "losing her thought". Others reported her having periods of "acting strange". She was diagnosed as having focal seizures and when a CT scan was done, a brain tumor was discovered. The radiologists believe it is a ganglioglioma or oligodendroglioma deep in the left temporal lobe of her brain. Initially, her neurologist thought that they could manage her seizures with medication but recently the tumor board decided that it must be removed. Kristin will be having surgery on December 3rd at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville. If all goes well, she will be in Jacksonville for 2 weeks and then spend the rest of her recovery back in South Carolina. She won't be able to return to work until the end of February at the earliest.

 

With two young kids at home, out-of-state treatment, and Kristin missing at least 3 months of work, a lot of bills will be piling up.
