Help Kristine's Family After Eaton Fire
Donation protected
Dear Friends, Colleagues, Family, and Kind-Compassionate Strangers:
My name is Alicen Vera and I’ve set up this fundraiser to assist my dear friend Kristine and her family, who tragically lost their home to the devastating Eaton Fire in Altadena, CA. Kristine Aslanyan has been a beacon of hope and guidance in the Community College system for over 20 years as a dedicated academic counselor. She has devoted her life to helping students discover their purpose and achieve their goals. Beyond her professional achievements, Kristine has a profound love for the arts. Whether it’s painting, music, or creative expression, she has always found beauty and inspiration in the arts, which she has shared with her family and friends. Her husband, a high school math teacher, shares her passion for nurturing young minds and has stood by her side in building a life rooted in love, service, and community. Together, they have raised two amazing sons with exceptional needs, filling their home with creativity, compassion, and resilience.
Tragically, the Eaton Fire destroyed their home, leaving Kristine and her family with nothing but the clothes on their backs. While they are deeply grateful to have each other, the loss of their home, belongings, and cherished memories—including artwork and personal treasures—has been devastating.
Kristine and her family now face the overwhelming task of rebuilding their lives from the ground up. The emotional and financial toll of starting over is unimaginable for a family whose daily lives already revolve around supporting their sons’ exceptional needs.
We are launching this campaign to help Kristine, her husband, and their two boys begin the difficult journey toward recovery after this unimaginable trauma. The funds raised will go toward unmet and unsubsidized needs such as:
• Establishing an emergency fund.
• Creating a warm and safe environment tailored to meet the needs of their boys who have exceptional needs, including specialized resources and care.
• Replacing essential belongings, such as clothing, toiletries, furniture, kitchenware, school/work supplies, and other daily necessities.
• Assisting with the unmet costs of rebuilding their home and restoring a sense of normalcy for their family.
This is our chance to give back to a family that has selflessly given so much to others—whether through education, guidance, or sharing the joy of the arts. Your generosity, no matter the amount, will provide essential support to Kristine, her husband, and their sons as they work to recover and restore a sense of stability.
Please join us in standing by this incredible family during this heartbreaking journey. Every contribution, no matter the size, will have a meaningful impact on Kristine and her family as they work to rebuild their lives.
If you're unable to donate, your prayers, kind words, and sharing their story with others can provide much-needed comfort and encouragement during this incredibly difficult time.
Thank you for showing compassion and love to Kristine and her family when they need it most.
