On Feb 26 Kristy Palka went into the ICU at Ascension Providence Hospital - Novi Campus while she was away for work 5 hours from their home.
She went in due to very low o2 levels and was diagnosed with Influenza A and pneumonia and was going to be in ICU for the next 3 days. The following day she was diagnosed with ARDS (Acute respiratory distress syndrome) and put in an induced coma, paralytic drugs, and intubated.
On March 1 she had to be life flighted to the University of Michigan, the reason for that is she needed to be put on nitric oxide this isn't a step back it's a step forward, the hospital she was in was as far as they could go.
She could be in the hospital for another couple of weeks and will most likely have months of rehab. Please continue to pray for them.
Her husband Eddy has been by her side this entire time which means they have no income coming in. Let’s help them out!! Anything you can donate would be greatly appreciated.
I’m sure Eddy will fight us about taking the help, but they do not need the added stress.
