Help the Krogh Family Start Again
Donation protected
On Monday, July 16, my family's home caught fire in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Luckily, no one was home and there were no injuries but the house is a complete loss.
My husband, Kevin, was at work and I had just taken a walk to see my mother-in-law with my 5 year old daughter, Claire. Within half an hour, I got a phone call and ran back home with my daughter to see flames coming from the roof. Our home, my car, and all of our belongings were destroyed.
We’ve been overwhelmed by kindness of friends, family, our community, and complete strangers. Thank you for the donations and help so far, especially for those that rushed to get toys and clothes to my little girl. It has helped give Claire a sense of normal. I will forever be grateful.
Now, we’re starting the long process of establishing a new normal. We working to setup a temporary home and replace personal items. We’ve been so thankful that no one got hurt and are just now starting to realize that we lost everything we own. It’s an overwhelming feeling and I need any help you might be able to offer.
Money raised will help my family cover the costs of restarting in life — clothes, home essentials, housing, food, and all the little items you don’t realize are gone until you go to use them. Anything will go a long way to help us. Feel free to contact me with any questions.
Love to you all and many thanks,
Laura and the Krogh Family
