Help Krysta with Probate Costs

Krysta and Darren moved to Jackman, Maine last June with high hopes and plans to start a new life there. Unfortunately Darren passed away in December. Krysta is trying to pay bills on one income when original plans included more  money coming in. She is being strong and working hard, all while grieving the loss. I am really proud of her. Unfortunate they had separate accounts, the car is in his name, there are checks made out to him she cannot cash, and a Canadian pension she has no access to until she goes through probate. This is a huge hurdle for her.  She says the cost for a lawyer will be about $1500. I am not sure yet about probate fees. Please help her meet this goal so she can restart her life, whether it will be here, or in Maine.
