Help Khonsu X Farm with an All-Terrain Wheelchair
Donation protected
My name is Khonsu X, a farmer, land steward, transmission artist, and caregiver.
I'm also someone who has been living with fibromyalgia for over a decade, including muscle spasms and chronic pain. I am here to ask my community for support in purchasing an all-terrain wheelchair to allow me to farm and continue providing community programming within the limits of my capacity. After one week of intensive farming without machinery, I have developed shin splints and lost strength in my compensating foot. When I first got my diagnosis of fibro and contending with the pain that produced, I wanted to cut my right leg off. Last summer, that pain switched and radiated to my left leg. This summer, I have lost the ability to walk without debilitating pain. In order to fulfill my dreams and continue the development of my community, I need adaptive technologies.
For $1,500: I can get a SPARTAN WHEEL CHARIOT which does not provide side guards.
For $5,000: You would be providing me with the recommended tool for farmers with lower extremity disabilities as shown on AgrAbility , an All Terrain Beast Manual Wheelchair
For $10,000: I would be able to get into the upgraded version of the above wheelchair, with increased access to our forest, and better safety features including hydraulic brakes.
I am also seeking $1,000 for the extras such as wheelchair gloves, a backpack, and ramps.
We currently have no expendable income, and my credit will not allow me to pay in installments. I have also had consistent issues being granted disability or SSI and the basic wheelchairs available will not work on the land. Yr support in financing the very best tool will enable me to live a more full life with less pain and the freedom of mobility. As a result, I hope you will all see a more full person and a healthier farm. Thank you for taking the time to read!
