Help Kyle Goodrich in his fight with Cancer

To know Kyle is to love Kyle. 

His easygoing nature and willingness to be a helping hand to his family, friends and this community with a big smile on his face have always been appreciated. 

He is a huge family man, a loving father to Kenzie (13) and Kinley (6), husband to Kerry, brother”-in-law”, uncle, son and friend. 

A few weeks ago, Kyle was diagnosed with stage 3 gastroesophageal junction cancer. 

He will soon be travelling to Victoria for an extended stay to start treatment including Chemotherapy and Radiation to hopefully shrink his tumours. 

Following multiple weeks of treatment, he will undergo an extensive surgery in an attempt to remove the tumours and rebuild his stomach and esophagus. He will then continue to undergo Chemotherapy and Radiation in addition to immunotherapy etc. 

 The doctors have estimated that this process will take up to a year or more if all goes according to plan but have also advised there could be many ups and downs and changes to this plan depending on how Kyle responds to each step of treatments and surgery.

 For the past year, Kyle has been on a leave as a Sheriff due to a workplace injury that required major ankle surgery and rehab. 

From that injury, he developed Complex Regional Pain Syndrome which is a nerve disorder that has made him unable to get back to daily activities including driving or returning to work. 

 It has already been a difficult year with many changes and this diagnosis has certainly added to it in a big way. 

 Kerry and Kyle are both usually the "helpers" and never ask for anything, but now they need your support. 

 Our hope for Kyle and Kerry is to be able to have as much precious family time as possible as there are many unknowns for the outcome of his diagnosis. For Kerry to be able to be by his side throughout treatments and surgery without either of them having to worry and stress about making ends meet financially would be a huge gift. 

 All funds donated will go directly to Kyle and his family to support them through this journey including lengthly out of town accommodations, travel, additional medical expenses/supplies/treatments/medications, along with anything else needed to get them through this time.
