Help KZ and Me Battle Pancreatic Cancer
Donation protected
I never thought I'd be writing any of the following words, so why not start awkwardly...
Guess whose got two thumbs and pancreatic cancer?
This guy!
Hi, my name is Joe Wilson and in late 2019, after living in Southern California for 22 years, my wife, Kathy Zaloga and I moved to Albany, NY to help our aging parents. I took a job as a clerk in a butcher shop (which is kind of like bartending with meat) and then a pandemic hit.
I disappeared from social media because after working an 11 hour day, I didn't have the energy to do anything. That trend continued until I didn't have the energy to work.
After running a gauntlet of doctor appointments, I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer that had spread to the liver and lungs. I would be attending Camp Chemo twice a month. At the moment I've gone through five rounds and the cancer is shrinking!
I also learned that I didn't qualify for disability insurance because I had not been employed consecutively for five years.

I'm starting this fundraiser to help cover rent and utilities for a few months and provide a little stress relief for Kathy (and me), who continues to work full-time while taking me to doctor's appointments.
If you would be so kind as to share this fundraiser and if you can help out by donating, we would greatly appreciate it! Thank YOU from Kathy, Mike and me!
