Help La Monarca send Manuel and Luis home

In the early morning hours of Saturday, October 14th, two brave and selfless brothers, Manuel and Luis Garcia, were tragically killed while they were stepping in to help someone in need here in Ashland, WI. This tragedy has rocked our La Monarca family and the greater Ashland community.

Manuel and Luis were in Ashland visiting their other brother, Ricardo, at La Monarca and became victims of this senseless and tragic incident. Ricardo and his family are desperately trying to raise funds to bring their brothers back to their family home in Veracruz, Mexico for burial. Unfortunately, this comes with an incredibly high price tag -- $30,000. These men are brothers, sons, uncles, and friends. Manuel also leaves behind a young wife and a baby.

We have been filled with love by all the support and encouragement from the Ashland and Chequamegon Bay communities and ask for any support you might be able to provide to help this family bring these two amazing men home.

With our Go Fund Me and and in-person fundraisers, we are on the cusp of reaching our goal and plan to end our campaign after tomorrow (10/24/23). Thank you all for your amazing kindness and generosity. We are currently working with Ricardo and the family in Abbottsford to get these funds sent to the funeral homes involved in the transfers and who are arranging the transportation currently. Manuel and Luis will be heading some soon and any funds above and beyond the transfer costs will help the family with travel to and from the burial and for funeral arrangement in Veracruz. We cannot thank the community enough for all your amazing love and support for this family during their most difficult time.
