Help Lacie Stop Lyme!

If you know Lacie (Ludwig) Meyers, you already love her, and if you don’t know her, trust me — you would! Lacie is the sweetest, most hard-working, generous, and funny person. She loves to dance, craft, go camping, and spend time with her new husband, family, and friends.
Unfortunately, one morning 7 years ago, after returning home from a camping trip, Lacie woke up very sick and covered in sores. Although she didn’t know it at the time, Lacie had contracted Lyme disease. Despite testing positive for Lyme immediately, Lacie was misdiagnosed for years, (doctors told her it was a false positive) and now the disease is in her central nervous system and considered “chronic”. She has sought treatment from many medical and naturopathic doctors over the years, and nothing has helped, yet every visit, medication, and treatment has come with a hefty price tag, most of which have not been covered by insurance.
These days, Lacie is so sick that she is unable to work or drive, and is often bedridden . She has the support of her amazing husband and family, but she is desperate to get healthy and get her life back.
Through her own research, and by reaching out to others who have suffered from this debilitating disease, Lacie has found some hope for a cure.
Lymestop is located in Idaho (close to her brother’s house), treatment costs several thousand dollars, and there is a 6 month waiting list. Lacie has connected with several women who have had Lyme Disease to the severity that she does, and their health has improved profoundly after being treated at Lymestop.
If you know Lace, you won’t be surprised to hear that I had to beg her to let me set up this fundraising page. She does not ever want to put anyone out, or ask for help, and she has always worked hard (usually 2 jobs) for everything she has.
But now, Lacie can’t work. Some days she can’t eat, or even get out of bed. She has mountains of medical bills, and there is no end in sight. We don’t know if Lymestop will work for her, but at this point, it is her best option. If you can give a little, and help Lacie get her life back, she, and the rest of us who love her, will be forever grateful!
