Help Lacy Receive Life Changing Medical Treatment

Donation protected
Our beloved friend, daughter, wife, sister, and extraordinary human, Lacy Young, needs your help.

For those of you who know Lacy, you know of her singular, soul-stirring spirit. As a highly skilled intuitive coach, she has devoted her life and career to ever-so-gently guiding thousands of women to navigate powerful transformations from stuckness to breakthroughs.

Now, Lacy needs our help.

With your donation, Lacy will be able to receive life-changing medical care that could open her airway and allow her to breathe with ease. Breath is everything, and Lacy has been unable to breathe clearly for many years, and it's gotten very serious these last few months.

This is Lacy's story:

In 2004, at the age of 25, Lacy began to experience difficulty breathing. A year later, she was diagnosed with tracheal stenosis, a narrowing of the trachea. To help open her airway, she began to have surgical interventions (balloon dilation procedures).

Eventually, she required major surgery, and in 2008, she had a cricotracheal resection that was supposed to “fix” her breathing issues. In a 9-hour surgery, they cut the scar tissue from her airway, shortened her trachea, and sewed it all back together. Lacy spent an excruciating week in the hospital with her chin sewn to her chest to help her trachea heal properly post surgery.

Unfortunately, the surgery did not fix the issue. She “re”stenosed (aka the scar tissue grew back) and she continued her journey, which included 2-4 surgical dilation procedures per year for 15 years to keep her breathing.

In addition to the countless surgical interventions over the years, Lacy has tried it all. Everything from changing her diet, fasting, acupuncture, Chinese medicine, Ayurveda, ayahuasca, talk therapy, somatic work, breathwork, supplements (so many supplements, a small fortune in supplements), countless detoxes, breathing treatments, and many experimental treatments (everything from light and sound to Rx, steroids, high-dose IV treatments, and more).

Along the way, Lacy has been a miracle of a human, continuing to live her life with JOY, tenderness, and intention both in her work and life. Her commitment to her self-care and spiritual practices have left all of us in awe, teaching us what it looks like to embrace the learnings, not allow fear to be our baseline, and to rise above it all and be present for its gifts.

Fast forward to 2022. Lacy is 43 yrs old, and receives devastating news. Her doctors tell her there is nothing else they can do. The scar tissue has grown from her airway into her vocal cords. The only surgical intervention choice available would leave her without a voice and labored breathing forever. Lacy and her doctor agreed to part ways and for her to explore alternative options.

As if this isn’t all enough, around the same time, Lacy and her husband Cliff discover their home, where they have lived for almost 10 years, is (and has been) infested with hidden mold. The mold toxicity made Lacy’s breathing worse, and they were forced to leave their home and ALL of their mold-infested belongings in CA. They moved to Nashville, TN, sight unseen in July 2023. Insurance continues to deny their claims to fix their home and make it a healthy place to live.

BUT, there is a speck of light….. Shortly after arriving in TN, Lacy serendipitously learns about a physician in Germany who specializes in developing personal immunotherapy treatments that have a high likelihood of helping her, AND has successfully helped others in the USA with diagnoses similar to Lacy’s. After contacting him, Lacy traveled to Germany in Nov 2023 to begin the process.

This is where you come in.

These treatments and the travel to Germany are expensive and are not covered by Lacy’s medical insurance. Each of the three rounds of treatment requires Lacy to travel to/from Germany twice, once to give her blood and urine and then again six weeks later to pick up and hand carry the personalized medicine home.

Furthermore, Lacy’s health has taken a difficult turn since her last surgical intervention in 2022. Her breathing is labored and audible at all times. Often, when talking, she has to pause several times to take a deep breath. Simply speaking out loud has become laborious. She gasps for air with very little activity and wakes up at night struggling to breathe. She says she feels “as if I am being strangled from the inside out. I work not to panic as I pull air into this body.”

It's important to note that Lacy and Cliff have used all their savings and cashed out their retirement accounts on treatments.

This is why we need your help.

Your donation will help fund the treatment in Germany, the many airline tickets needed to travel to/from Germany, and the lodging required while there. It will also cover lost income, as Lacy can no longer comfortably work full-time as a coach/guide until her health improves. As the breadwinner in her family for the past decade, your donation can help Lacy keep her family afloat financially.

Her job right now is to heal.

Please help us support Lacy. Your donation will be blessed, and will make an enormous impact in the life of someone beloved beyond words.

Big love,
Lacy’s family and friends
