Help Laiba Attend UC Berkeley Summer Session 2022

This is for my cousin in Pakistan, here is her story.

Hi, I'm Laiba Ahmed - an Electrical Engineering Sophomore at Habib University. I got selected for the UC Berkeley Summer Session 2022 from the pool of over 70 students through a rigorous assessment procedure. The entire program cost is $11,233 out of which my university has covered the 50% of the total amount based on merit and need. However, I still require financial help to cover the remaining amount.

I have always had a passion for teaching and acquiring knowledge of different fields. I wish to use this opportunity to learn more about education and pedagogy in the STEM domain and use this knowledge to create effective Stem classrooms at the K-12 level. This summer I have the chance to take courses in the relative field and do supervised fieldwork. Learning about Education policy and transformations required in this sector and pairing these experiences with my current STEM Degree can help me develop a plan that could help enhance the Education sector in my own locality. Also, as a team leader of an adult-literacy program on my own campus, I wish to bring back my learnings and apply them in the classes with my team and further work towards this cause. Hence to fulfil my dream of bringing change in the education sector, I need your help.
