Our grand niece, Laiken Hagerty, was recently diagnosed with cancer and her chemo treatments started last week at the University of Iowa Children's hospital. It's a form of sarcoma and will require several weeks of chemo, radiation and eventually surgery for removal of the growth. She's only 9, but full of personality and a real trooper!
